Tomie dePaola

We are currently knee deep in our Tomie dePaola Author Study. We are studying his books and have created an attribute chart as a home for our findings for author's craft, noticings, theme, plot, movement through time, genre, and vocabulary. We decided to write Tomie dePaola and today received a letter back from him! The answers to our questions were posted on his blog!     my favorite book of Tomie dePaola is "one foot now the other"i was so sad when Bob had a stoke and it was touching when Bobby was teaching Bob how to do it again. love,isabella:)

    why do we do author studies every year in school. I hope we do a author study next year. so far throw school my favorite author is tomie dePaola.

    I'm so jealous! I read blogs by some of my favorite authors, too. Patricia Polacco is one of my favorites, and I love to read about her real life. It's so fun to see how they find their ideas for stories! So exciting to see your questions and his answers! What a great and kind author he is! :)
